1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Carpathian website. Engagement of our services is governed by a separate written agreement signed by both parties; nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer.

2. Information on this site

Pricing shown on this site is indicative and provided for guidance only. Final pricing is confirmed in a written proposal following a scoping discussion. Delivery timeframes assume agreed scope and timely provision of content, access and feedback by the client.

3. Web development engagements

• Scope, deliverables and payment terms are set out in a written agreement.
• A deposit is payable before work begins; the balance and any ongoing retainer are as specified in that agreement.
• Ownership of delivered code and content transfers to the client on final payment.
• Hosting, maintenance and bundled services continue only while the monthly retainer is active. If the retainer is cancelled, those services stop.

4. Penetration testing engagements

Penetration testing is performed only under a signed Rules of Engagement document, executed separately from the commercial contract and before any testing begins. That document defines the exact systems in scope, testing windows, and stop conditions.

• The client warrants that they own, or have express written authority to authorise testing of, every system listed in scope.
• The Rules of Engagement must be signed by a person with actual authority to grant that access.
• We will not test any system outside the agreed scope under any circumstances.
• A penetration test assesses security at a point in time. It does not guarantee that a system is free of vulnerabilities.

5. Confidentiality

Security findings, credentials and client business information disclosed during an engagement are treated as confidential and are not shared with third parties without written consent, except where disclosure is required by law.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue or data.

7. Acceptable use of this site

Do not use the enquiry form to transmit unlawful, abusive or automated content. We rate-limit submissions and reject those flagged as automated.
